Seasonal Trade in Bonds - Trade Estacional en Mercado de Bonos

Here is a definition of what Seasonal trades are:

Seasonal trading or Seasonal tendencies are a composite of some of the most consistent commodity futures seasonals that have occurred in the past several years. There are usually underlying, fundamental circumstances that occur annually that tend to cause the futures markets to react in similar directional manner during a certain calendar year. Traders should be aware that even if a seasonal tendency occurs in the future, it may not result in a profitable transaction due to the timing of the entry and liquidation may impact on the results and that futures prices have already factored the seasonal aspects of supply and demand. No representation is being made that any account has in the past, or will in the future, achieve profits using these recommendations. No representation is being made that price patterns will recur in the future.

For this week we are looking at the following trade ideas:

Trade entry date: Approximately Oct. 16th 2009
Trade exit date: Approximately Nov. 19th 2009
Market: Long Dec 30 yr Bonds and Short Dec 10yr Notes
Target for half of initial position: $1000
Stop loss order: $1000

Futures trading involves risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone.
